Trail Trek Hike to Rodeo Lagoon - May 15
Saturday, May 15th
Meet at Brookvale Elementary at 9:30 am for carpool / departure
The drive is over 50 miles, and over an hour so carpooling makes sense. We can gather everyone’s cell number so we can call each other if someone gets lost.

Rodeo Lagoon
I visited Rodeo Lagoon this weekend and found the Richmond bridge route easy to follow. This is the route I suggest coming into Sausalito Marin County.
We will eventually meet at the visitor center which is a converted church. The Visitor center is a perfect start to our hike as it is rich in educational info regarding the history of the area. There is also a picnic area in the front.
Up the road is the Nike Missile site. Unfortunately it is only open to the public the 1st sat of the month. I just happened to be there so I got a tour.
Don’t despair!! There is plenty to see. There are other open bunkers to see. Our scouts will love it. These bunkers are just a very short drive from the visitor center. The area is a favorite with cyclist so be mindful of them.
This is a beautiful area. The ocean, mountains, spectacular views of the Golden Gate Bridge, natural history and the former military history make for a beautiful day. Be sure to bring you’re camera. Plan for lunch after the hike in the picnic area in front of the visitor center.

Pack Meeting March 30
Hi Everyone,
Yes, it is that time for our next pack meeting on Tuesday, March 30th, at Brookvale Elementary School at 7 pm.
Please arrive early so that the scouts (and siblings) can make paper airplanes. We are going to have a game later on that will test their flying skills.
- The Tiger Cub Den will be have some kind of presentation with a joke or two thrown in.
- The Wolf Den will be bringing cookies (or other goodies).
- The Bear Den will be handling ticket sales.
- And the Webelos will be doing the Flag Ceremony.
We will have a representative from the BSA Council coming by to talk about the Friends of Scouting program. This program raises money for a lot of other programs in our council and district (camps upkeep and improvements, Camperships, insurance, building and council support, etc.).
See you all on Tuesday, March 30th!
Regards,
Robert Cook

Blue and Gold Dinner on Friday, February 26
Come celebrate the 100th anniversary of Scouting in America with our annual Cub Scout Blue and Gold Dinner. The event is at Brookvale Elementary School at 3400 Nicolet Avenue in Fremont.
We will celebrating the History of Scouting with Charlie Mabie and will have a fun time with square dancers from Swinging 21ers.
