Webelos II Den Receives Arrow of Light Award
Our Webelos II den, led by Mike Vigil, received their Arrow of Light awards at our monthly Pack meeting tonight. The Arrow of Light is the highest award in Cub Scouting and is the only Cub Scout award that can be worn on the Boy Scout uniform. Congrats to our “graduating class” of Webelos II Scouts who have now bridged into Boy Scouting and beyond.
Our Pack meeting was also memorable in that we welcomed a brand new Den into our Pack. Den 6 is a new Tiger Cub den led by Minoti Amin. Thanks too to Ruth Dalton for the great looking and great tasting cakes for our celebration tonight.

Bear Den Visits Mission San Jose
The Bear den took time out from a rainy and cloudy Sunday to visit Mission San Jose. We saw a movie about the missions and details about Mission San Jose’s history, construction, and re-construction. Then we took a brief tour through the museum, the Mission itself, and the courtyard.

Trail Trek Hike - March 26th at Redwood Regional Park (Oakland Hills)
Updated: hike cancelled due to heavy rain.
Greetings Pack 163,
Mark March 26th on you’re calender for our Pack’s next trail trekker hike in Redwood Regional Park. More info about the hike is available on our website.

Redwood Creek
This is the longest hike of the Trail Trekker hike program at 6 miles. A very nice hike that starts by following a creek through a redwood forest. Later it follows up the hill we’re we will hike the upper ridge then back down to our starting point. It was a 3 hour hike for my wife and I a few months ago. We stopped for many photo opportunities.
If you want to get in a great workout, breathe fresh air and enjoy each others company, come and join us. More info to follow as our hike draws near.
We will meet at 10am at Redwood Regional Park to allow additional time for all of us to get to this area from Fremont. We will start the hike soon after as this is a longer hike.
Redwood Regional Park
This is a wonderful loop hike up the Stream Trail along Redwood Creek through a magnificent second-growth redwood forest which is over a century old. The hike is completed by looping back on the East Ridge Trail, which gives access to different scenery and great views.
