Bridging Ceremony and Campout June 12-13

It is hard to imagine but our Bridging Ceremony and Overnight Camp event is coming soon. Our Pack is going to have a lot of fun at Dairy Glen Group Camp at the Coyote Hills Regional Park, in Fremont, on Jun 12 and 13.

We will start at about 2 pm on June 12.  Come and set up your tent and camping equipment, or just come and hang with the Scouts.

In the afternoon we will have our Bridging ceremony where the Scouts will advance to the next rank in the Cub Scout program. Tiger to Wolf, Wolf to Bear, etc.  This is a special event, so everyone is invited to come: Scouts, parents, siblings, grandparents, friends, etc.

Afterwards, we’ll have dinner, a “root beer burping contest”, Smores by the campfire, and a flag retirement ceremony.

Folks not staying for the overnight camping will have to leave the park by 8 pm on Saturday. We’ll have a quick breakfast the next morning and be out by 9 am or so on Sunday, June 13th.

• Dinner: Hot Dogs, Fruit Salad, Cobbler, Punch, Root Beer
• Desert: Smores
• Breakfast: pastries, granola bars, fruit, OJ
• Please bring some food to share:
  • Webelos: Drinks
  • Bears: Salads/veggies/fruit
  • Wolves: Desert
  • Tigers: Salads/veggies/fruit

Schedule of Events

• 2 pm: Arrival. Camp setup / free time
• 4 pm: Pack awards
• 5 pm: Bridging ceremony
• 6 pm – 7:30: Dinner, dessert
• 8 pm: those not staying overnight go home
• 9 pm: Flag retirement ceremony
• 10 pm: Lights out
• 7 am: Reveille
• 7:30 am: Breakfast
• 9 am: Depart
