May Pack Meeting Recap
Our May 2009 Pack 163 Pack Meeting was a fun-filled event, especially for the Scouts. We discussed upcoming events such as the Hoot Owl hike and the Bridging Ceremony / Picnic. The Bear Den also received their Bear awards from Den Leader Mike Vigil. Wolf Den Leader Robert Cook described the planter boxes the Wolf Den made over their past few Den meetings.
The Scouts participated in two games. The first was a relay race where the Scouts had to roll a felt ball along the ground using only a paper plate and any generated wind to “blow” the ball across the floor. Easier said than done!
The second game was also a relay race where the Scouts would have to wear big shoes, a shirt, a hat, and carry a feather with large gloves. This was fun and some of the Tiger Cubs really had a tough time wearing those gigantic clothes. Thankfully, some of the older Scouts helped the younger ones dress/undress and showed that teamwork is a key component of success!
At the end of the meeting we had our traditional attendance awards and cookie raffle. The Stephens family also brought cupcakes to share with all the Scouts and families. Yum!
